Author Guidelines

Call for papers
 
The Editorial Board of Kwasu Journal of Education (KIJE) invites articles from scholars for consideration and publication in her journals which will be published once in a year. Prospective contributors to this journal are encouraged to focus more on empirical based research studies.
 
Guidelines for manuscripts
  1.  Manuscripts submitted for publication should be 14 pages maximum, including references, using Times New Roman, 12 Font. Articles must be typewritten double spaced on one side only and on A4 paper. Author’s contact address, Email and telephone numbers.
  2. Article should be preceded by an abstract of not more than 200 words.
  3. Figures, tables and drawings should be clearly drawn and the positions marked in the text. Pictures where applicable should be very black and white glossy print.
  4. Quoted passages of more than three lines should be extracted. Shorter quotations should be enclosed in double inverted commas.
  5. Footnotes are not permitted. The journal follows the author/date system of station, by which reference is made in the text by citing the authors, surname and date of publication. Generally, authors are expected to follow the American Psychological Association writing style.
  6. All works cited in the text must be listed under references in alphabetical order of author’s surnames.
  7. The editorial board reserves the right to accept or reject manuscripts after peer review.
  8. An author of a published work will receive one copy of the Journal free.
  9. Article must be submitted in three hard copies and one electronic copy {in Microsoft word}.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
